A rock-cut monastery with stunning frescoes.
Selime Monastery is a remarkable example of rock-cut architecture in Cappadocia. Dating back to the 8th century, it served as a religious and educational center. The monastery includes a cathedral-sized church, monks' quarters, and a kitchen, all carved out of the soft volcanic rock. Visitors can admire the well-preserved frescoes that adorn the walls, depicting biblical scenes.
