A towering statue overlooking Lisbon and the Tagus River.
Inspired by the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, the Statue of Christ the King in Almada offers breathtaking views of Lisbon. Standing at 110 meters tall, it was inaugurated in 1959 as a symbol of gratitude for Portugal being spared from the horrors of World War II. Visitors can ascend to the observation deck for panoramic views of the city and the river.
