The Green Gate is a stunning example of Gdańsk Renaissance architecture.
The Green Gate, or Brama Zielona, is one of Gdańsk's most striking historical landmarks, connecting the Long Market with the River Motława. Built between 1568 and 1571, it was designed as a residence for Polish monarchs visiting the city. The building showcases the grandeur of Renaissance architecture with its intricate façade and grand arches. Although it never served its intended royal purpose, today it houses the National Museum's Department of Photography and frequently hosts exhibitions and cultural events. Its central location makes it a perfect spot for tourists to explore the rich history of Gdańsk.
