Water of Leith Walkway

Water of Leith Walkway is a beautiful 12-mile path that follows the river through some of Edinburgh’s most scenic areas. Starting from Balerno and ending at Leith, it offers walkers a serene journey through village-like settings and woodland areas, with occasional glimpses of wildlife such as herons and kingfishers. The walkway is punctuated by picturesque spots like Dean Village and the modern art installations of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. It’s an ideal route for a leisurely stroll or a brisk jog.
