Located on Battery Street, the Siege Bell War Memorial is a moving tribute to the 7,000 people who died during the Siege of Malta in World War II. It was inaugurated in 1992 on the 50th anniversary of the awarding of the George Cross to Malta. The memorial features a large bronze bell that tolls daily at noon, echoing across the Grand Harbour.
