Ancient Roman temple converted into a church.
The Pantheon is a former Roman temple, now a church, in the heart of Rome. Commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus, it was completed by the emperor Hadrian around 126 AD. The Pantheon's dome remains the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome, showcasing the architectural brilliance of the Romans. Its oculus provides a unique light source, creating a serene atmosphere inside.
