Vajdahunyad Castle
Budapest • Historic Architecture
An architectural museum in Budapest's City Park showcasing multiple styles within a single structure.

A prominent example of Neo-Gothic architecture along the Danube, it represents Hungary's national identity.
Situated at Kossuth Lajos tér, the Hungarian Parliament Building is a striking symbol of Budapest. As the largest building in Hungary, it showcases an impressive Neo-Gothic design complemented by Renaissance and Baroque elements. The symmetrical façade and towering central dome reach 96 meters, making it a notable sight along the river. Inside, the lavishly decorated spaces house the Hungarian Crown Jewels and grand staircases. A visit is particularly rewarding in the summer months when guided tours are more readily available.
