Munich's lesser-known beer festival celebrating strong beers.
Starkbierfest at Paulaner Nockherberg is a traditional Bavarian beer festival that dates back to the 17th century. Held annually in March, it celebrates the strong, rich beers brewed by monks during Lent. The festival offers a more local and relaxed atmosphere compared to Oktoberfest, with traditional Bavarian music, hearty dishes, and, of course, the iconic Salvator beer. Visitors can enjoy the rustic charm of the Paulaner Nockherberg beer hall and experience a piece of authentic Bavarian culture.
