The House of the Blackheads is a striking building with a facade adorned with sculptures and rich ornamentation. Once the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Blackheads, a guild for unmarried merchants, it played a vital role in the social and economic life of medieval Tallinn. While the original structure dates back to the 14th century, it was rebuilt in the 16th century, showcasing Renaissance architectural elements. Although not always open to the public, its exterior remains a captivating sight, reflecting the wealth and influence of Tallinn's merchant class.
