Situated in Churchillparken, the Gefion Fountain is an impressive sculptural ensemble portraying the Norse goddess Gefion. According to legend, Gefion transformed her sons into oxen to plow the land that became Zealand. The fountain, completed in 1908, is one of the largest monuments in Copenhagen and features dramatic water displays that enhance its mythical narrative. Its location near the Kastellet fortress and the waterfront makes it a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll.
