One of the largest ossuaries in Europe under the Church of St. James.
The Brno Ossuary, located beneath the Church of St. James, is the second-largest ossuary in Europe after the Catacombs of Paris. It holds the remains of over 50,000 people, dating back to the 17th century. The ossuary was discovered in 2001 during archaeological research and opened to the public in 2012. Its eerie yet fascinating atmosphere provides a unique insight into the historical burial practices of the region.
